Sculpted Lounge

A mid-century-inspired lounge chair with a steam-bent ash frame and traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery.

The concept

An exploration of negative space. The frame is shaped by hand with spokeshaves and steam-bent to hold fluid curves without breaking the grain.

The seat is upholstered in undyed linen so the structure remains the hero of the piece.
